About Us

The Lonely Entrepreneur was born from founder Michael Dermer's harrowing experience in the 2008 financial crisis. Michael watched the business he built for 10 years to over 500 employees – the first company in the US to reward for healthy behavior – nearly get destroyed in 10 days by the financial crisis of 2008. He not only survived but went on to sell his company and become an industry pioneer. Now Michael and The Lonely Entrepreneur team are committed to helping entrepreneurs learn from his experience and turn their passion into success.

Is there a cost to join?
  • No, it is completely free to join and participate. 
Is there a minimum number of referrals to be able to participate?
  • No
How will I get paid?

  • We use a platform called Tapfiliate and you will automatically receive payments the month after we receive payment from the business

How do I get setup?
  • We set you up in Tapfiliate with your dedicated sales dashboard and your payment information so you are paid automatically
What kind of support will I get?
  • We provide training, marketing materials and sales support at every step.
What types of entrepreneur or small businesses can I refer?

  • TLE has created solutions for entrepreneurs at every stage of their business.  The Learning Community is for earlier stage businesses (under $1 million of revenue) and Sidekick is for more mature businesses (over $1M).   

Do I have to determine which of the two TLE solutions is right for the company I refer?

  • No. You simply refer them to us and we will recommend the right solution. 

How do you track the referrals I make?

  • Yes. We use a platform called Tapfiliate and you can track all of your referrals and commissions there. 

What is your commission structure?

  • Learning Community - $20% or $200 per purchase ($999 Purchase) 

  • Sidekick Consulting – 10% (Packages range from $5,000 to $50,000)
